This campaign is deeply rooted in the community, showing up not just during election season but every day through mutual aid and canvassing. Our work goes beyond asking for votes, we are building relationships, meeting real needs, and bringing resources, care, and accountability directly to people’s doors. Because our community deserves more than an election; it deserves sustained presence, action, and commitment.

Joining our weekly volunteer calls is a powerful way to support the campaign behind the scenes and help turn our vision into action.

Volunteers play a critical role by assisting with administrative support, research, and ongoing internal campaign work that keeps everything moving forward. These calls are a space to plug in, learn the campaign’s priorities, collaborate with the team, and contribute your skills in meaningful ways—no matter your level of experience.

Our goal is to respectfully visit congregations, meet with faith leaders, and share space with communities of all faiths and denominations. This effort is about listening, building trust, and strengthening relationships across the diverse communities that make up District 6.

Join Hedder Pierre Joseph, candidate for Orange County District 6, for an important conversation on the urgent need for local governments to take action on medical debt relief.

As families across Central Florida continue to recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, too many are still burdened by overwhelming medical bills—putting their housing and financial stability at risk. This virtual town hall, hosted by Medicare for All, will focus on how local leadership can step in to close these gaps and protect residents.

Hedder will be joined by Sam Delgado, Program Manager with Central Florida Jobs With Justice, who played a key role in organizing the successful medical debt relief initiative passed in Orange County—bringing real relief to those most affected.

This conversation will highlight the intersection of healthcare, housing, and economic justice, and what more can be done to support our communities.
