2025 Redistricting New Maps
Following voter approval in November 2024 to expand the Orange County Commission from six to eight districts, the Board of County Commissioners launched a mid-decennial redistricting process to implement the change. In January 2025, the BCC established the 2025 Mid-Decennial Redistricting Advisory Committee, which spent seven months gathering community input and evaluating proposed district maps. The committee presented two recommended maps to the BCC on September 16, 2025, followed by a public hearing on October 14, 2025, where the Board adopted Map 7B by a 5–2 vote. Effective for the 2026 election cycle, the new map reshapes District 6 into a markedly different structure than before—realigning communities and geographic boundaries to reflect population growth and the expanded commission. Incumbent commissioners are not affected and will complete their terms as usual, while the Supervisor of Elections will begin assigning precincts to the newly drawn districts.
The New District 6 Map

District 6 reflects a newly structured set of neighborhoods brought together through the 2025 redistricting process.
